Helena River Steiner School

I've three kids at the school, grade 1 to 8. It's a truly wonderful and caring place. We've travelled a lot... been to luts of schools, this one is the real deal as a Steiner school and a place where my kids feel held and safe. My dyslexic son is flourishing and he hasn't elsewhere. 10 stars from me!

My grandchildren have absolutely blossomed since attending this truly exceptional school. Small class sizes, nurturing teachers and a rich curriculum all add up to happy students who just love going to school. I can’t recommend more highly.

My three kids have thrived since we moved to this school. They love going and never want to come home always wanting to stay for “just 1 more minute.” The staff are outstanding and the nurturing environment is just the best place for learning. Highly recommend!

After spending most of primary school in mainstream schooling my son now looks forward to going to school in this new and nurturing environment.He loves the creative approach to learning and the small classes with attentive and caring teachers.

Brilliant school that focuses on the needs of the kids. The teachers are wonderful and passionate. The school (and Steiner) philosophy to educate the head, the heart and the hands is wonderful, allowing kids to be kids!

Both of my two children (Kindy and Class 5 currently) are thriving in this wonderful school. Our oldest child has made a seamless transition from homeschooling after leaving the governemnt school system in the early years. Now, not only do they both love the curriculum, they love the sense of community and how truly seen and heard they are by their teachers. Both are Neurodivergent and such unique, quirky little souls who are able to express themselves freely without fear of judgement. There is no one way to be, which is modelled for the children by the faculty and parent body, creating a diverse atmosphere where children can show up authentically and immerse in the days learning.

We were blown away by the warmth of this school when we did the tour. The teachers seem so dedicated and it really feels like the children are well cared for while being challenged and supported in their learning. Class sizes are much smaller then at our local public school, which we see as a major plus. Also, the Steiner curriculum is a pathway to university so the children have all options open to them after highschool.
